Redhead fierceness -angled haircut

This girl is so sassy!:)

I enjoyed sooo much cutting her hair.

She wanted an angled haircut :)

Enjoy checking out the result!:)

Haircut and highlights

This is Rose and she came in for highlights and haircut.

She is in her 50'2 and she she definitely wanted something age appropriate.

For her highlights- she wanted something natural looking and sunkissed.

For her haircut- she wanted to take off some length and add some layers.

I decided on a round layer haircut for her.

She was very happy with the result specially with her haircut- she said that this is the best haircut ever and that she had a lot of bad haircuts that she almost gave up on believing that she will get a good haircut at all. :)

Whenever I hear a client say something like that- it does put a smile on my face:)

Concave Graduated haircut

This is Mandy and she came in for a highlights with haircut.

Her main concern is that her hair is starting to look "washed out".

She runs a lot and the since its summer and the sun is out, that is making her hair look lighter.

And so we decided that we will go one shade darker than her natural color and for her highlights- we decided to go 2 shades darker from blonde to caramel highlights.

As for her haircut- we did a concave graduation haircut.

Feminine and Romantic look

This is my very good friend Gemma.

This os one of the looks that we came up with when we were preparing/practicing for the Douglas J AVEDA Natural Talent Competition.

I did her hair- curls and cascading effect :)

The makeup I chose is bronze/brown - something natural but I want her to look sunkissed:)

And here is the result :)

The Bridesmaid

This is Jenny and she is going to be in her friends wedding and asked me to help her out with her hairdo.

I decided to go for a feminine and romantic look.

I used a 2 inch curling iron and created big, soft and loose curls.

And instead of doing an updo- I decided I will just do a half do' because the curls looked so good and would be a shame not to show it off and wear it as it is :)

From long hair to a cute and adorable short hair

This is Pam and she is a very good friend of mine.

She has been growing her hair so that she can donate 10 inches of her hair to locks of love.

Last night was the right time- she finally has enough hair.

So we did it and took off 10 inches of her hair!lol

The technique I used is a short round layers- this will create layers, body and shape but at the same time it will reduce the weight and thickness.

The I blowdried her hair using a big round vented brush and used AVEDA's damage control and flaxseed aloe liquid gel.

After blowdrying- I started thinning her hair out using a thinning shears and I also did some texturizing and pointcutting.

The result...really cute and adorable short hair!:)

Time for a highlights and lowlights retouch and a haircut

This is Jessica and she is a regular client of mine.

She came in for a highlights and lowlights retouch and a haircut.

She has had a couple of highlights retouch and her hair is starting to look really light and she does not want her hair to look lighter and also she does want the lowlights to appear like strippey.

So I added more lowlights (darker or warmer tone) and did a lot of natural/fine weaves and some slices for it to blend with the highlights and make it a little bit warmer but without the strippey effect.

As for her haircut- I used the travelling graduated technique.

For styling- I used AVEDA's damage control and Flaxseed aloe liquid gel to give that hold on her hair as well as volume.

I started using my hands to dry her hair- running my fingers through her hair and then proceeded to using the round vented brush.

The result..check out the pictures:)

This is my regular client Elizabeth- I usually do not show the face of my clients just because I respect their privacy-unless they are 100% ok with it:)

Elizabeth came for highlights and lowlights. She has really fine hair and flat with no volume at all.

So today the goal is to do highlights and lowlights and to do a haircut that will add shape and then body and volume to her hair that is screaming for VOLUME! :)

For her highlights I mixed the following formula usng AVEDA color line-Permanent color:

Highlights Goal: 10 yellow/orange
40g 10 Vol
20g Enlightener

Lowlights Goal: 7 yellow/orange
30g 7n
30g 20 Vol
6g Light yellow/orange
2g Light N/N

For her haircut- slightly angled- short on back and long on front and then we added some layers to provide body/shape as well as volume.

Styling products: AVEDA's Flaxseed Aloe liquid Gel- this will help us give that kind of hold on her very fine hair.

Using a big round vented brush- section hair and add a drop of flaxseed liquid gel to every section and blowout all the way:)

The result...see below ;)
